College Planning

SEM’s counselors are available to assist you with all aspects of your college planning effort.  Our goal is for each student to find and be admitted to colleges that meet his or her personal interests, ensuring the most successful college career possible.

SEM College Resource Center

The new SEM college resource center is now open to all students.  This is a great on-campus resource to assist you in researching your college options.  The center is located in the SEM office.  Hours:  Monday to Friday, 7:30 - 8:50 a.m., during all lunches and 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

You should begin your college research no later than the fall of your junior year.  Work closely with your counselor to develop your personal college search and application plan and your financial aid/scholarship search and application plan.  Take advantage of SEM’s Naviance planning tool to stay organized.

A number of colleges recruit at SEM every year in the fall.  Check the SEM calendar regularly for the schedule of upcoming visits.
